Weekly In-Person Practice in Islesboro, Maine
Islesboro Community Zen offers a space and time for people who are curious about meditation to practice and support one another. Bring your existing meditation practice, or begin a new one, as we sit together in the Zen style, meeting whatever arises with curiosity and gentleness.
We meet from mid-June – August on Thursday afternoons at 1 pm at the Islesboro Community Center in the conference room on the second floor. Our practice consists of settling in together, a brief period of chanting, silent meditation, and a short reading and discussion.
All levels of experience are welcome and instruction is provided. If you have questions, or if you are interested but are not able to attend on a weekday afternoon, please contact Jamie at: jwp04848@gmail.com.
Islesboro Community Zen is affiliated with Boundless Way Zen Temple, a Zen community centered in Worcester, MA and available everywhere online. We welcome contributions to offset our room rental at the Islesboro Community Center, but there is no charge for these meditation sessions.
