Summer Residency Program

This summer, Boundless Way Zen Temple will offer a residency program in late July and early August. Participants may register for all three weeks, any one week, or any two weeks of our summer program, including the Summer Sesshin (week 3).

Daily activities will include zazen and kinhin (sitting and walking meditation), teisho (dharma talks) and dharma dialogues, dokusan (private interviews with Zen teachers), samu (work practice), formal meal practice, and guided movement exercises. All three weeks (including the August sesshin) are limited to in-person registration only. Dharma talks and dialogues will be devoted to two works by our great Chinese ancestor, Shitou Xiqian: Sandokai and Song of the Grass Roof Hermitage.

The summer residency will be led by three teacher-facilitators: Dharma Holder Alan Sanhyō Richardson, Dharma Holder Michael Sōkei Herzog, and Senior Assistant Teacher Paul Sōshin Galvin. Guest teachers include Melissa Myōzen Blacker, Rōshi, and David Dae An Rynick, Rōshi.

Register now to reserve your spot.

Registration for the Summer Residency will be open until July 19. Registration for the Summer Sesshin will be open until August 2.
